Chapter 03 · Browse
3.8Saved searches
Save a Browse query and its filters to run it again across the library with an updated result count.
Click Save beside Like this above the grid. Enter a unique name and press ⏎. Empty or duplicate names are rejected without clearing the field.
Saved searches appear alphabetically under SMART in the sidebar. Each row shows its current count; no number appears until the count is available.
Open and close. Click a saved search to restore its query, keyword and detected-word chips, cameras, lenses, RAW only, Edited, rating threshold and sort order. The tree switches to All Photographs. The row remains highlighted while those settings are active. Click it again to restore the previous query, filters, sort and collection.
Saved searches cover the entire library. They do not store the collection selected when saved.
Live counts. Ratings, verdicts, keywords, imports and sync update counts in the background. Measuring ten counts took about 103 milliseconds in the test library, compared with about 880 milliseconds to list their results.
Remove. Right-click a row and choose Remove Saved Search…, then confirm. Removing a search does not remove photographs.
Searches are stored in the catalogue separately from synced collection rows. They survive sync and remain compatible with newer query fields.
